At a restorative justice center, Bérénice works with people who are victims of crime, or who have committed it, to encourage dialogue between them and repair the harm done. Her aim: to help these deeply wounded people turn a traumatic page in their history, so that they can better enjoy their present and future. Bérénice chose her profession for a reason. 25 years ago, she and her best friends were forever scarred by a brutal attack at a college end-of-year party. One of them was killed, another left a quadriplegic. The culprit was paroled after serving a 23-year life sentence and is back in their lives. Bérénice hopes to mediate with him, but will she be able to convince her friends?
